INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g fresh crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Preparation Method

Today’s recipe is delicious and taste recipe that is Crab Curry and so let’s gets started.

Step 1 (Crab Curry)

  • Need to clean the crabs nicely and remove the outer shell completely. Crack the claws and cut the body into halves or quarters, depending on the size.
  • Take a pan and add oil and heat it by keeping the flame on medium. Add 2 large chopped onions and saute it till they turn golden brown colour.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears. Then add 3 chopped tomatoes and add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and then add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
  • And add 1 teaspoon of coriander powder and then add 1 teaspoon of cumin powder and add salt as per your taste. Continue cooking the masala till the oil starts to separate from it.
  • Add the cleaned crab pieces to the masala and coat them well with the spice mixture.
    Need to cover the pan by keeping the flame on medium heat for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Once the crab is cooked and the masala has thickened, sprinkle garam masala and give it a final mix. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve the crab curry hot with steamed rice or your favorite bread. Enjoy your delicious crab curry! Adjust the spice levels according to your preference and feel free to add coconut milk or tamarind paste for additional flavor variations.
