INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • Oil for frying

For Fried Rice:

  • Cooked basmati rice – 2 cups 
  • Finely chopped mixed vegetables – 1/2 cup  (carrots, peas, beans & corn)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Preparation Method

Step 1 (Manchurian Fried Rice)

Prepare Vegetable Manchurian:
In a bowl, combine finely chopped cabbage, grated carrot, chopped capsicum, spring onions, all-purpose flour, corn flour, salt, black pepper powder, soy sauce, and ginger-garlic paste. Mix well to form a dough-like consistency.

Shape the mixture into small balls. Then heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Fry the Manchurian balls until golden brown and crisp. Remove and set aside.

Prepare Fried Rice:
Take a pan and add oil and heat it by keeping the flame on medium. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add chopped spring onions and mixed vegetables. Fry it for few minutes until the vegetables are cooked well.

Add soy sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, and black pepper powder. Mix well.
Add the cooked and cooled rice. Toss everything together until the rice is well-coated with the sauce and the vegetables are evenly distributed.

Finally, add the prepared Vegetable Manchurian balls to the fried rice. Gently mix to combine.
