How to make Chana Sundal?

 

Hello Friends welcome to SAS FOOD BLOGS, Today we are going to see how to make Chana Sundal.

INGREDIENTS:

  • White Chana – 1 Cup
  • Water – 2 Cup
  • Oil – 2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Urad Dal – ½ Teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves – Few
  • Green Chilli – 1 No (Finely Chopped)
  • Asafoetida – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli – 2 No’s
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon  
  • Salt – As per your taste
  • Mango – 2 Teaspoon (Finely Chopped)
  • Coriander Leaves – Few (Finely Chopped)
  • Grated Coconut – 2 Table Spoon

Preparation Method

Today’s recipe is a Chana Sundal, so let’s get started.

Step 1 (Chana Sundal)

  1. Soak 1 Cup of White Chana in water previous night itself for about 8 hours.
  2. Take a Pressure cooker and add soaked white chana and pressure cook it for 3 whistles and after it cool down move the chana to a bowl and keep it a side.
  3. Take a kadai and add 2 teaspoon of oil and heat it then add ½ teaspoon mustard seeds and add ½ teaspoon of urad dal.
  4. And then add few curry leaves and add 1 teaspoon of finely chopped green chilli and add ¼ teaspoon of asafoetida and mix it well.

Step 2 (Chana Sundal)

  1. Then add 2 red chilli and add 1 cup of pressure cooked white chana and mix it well.
  2. Then add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and check for seasoning by adding salt as per your taste.
  3. And add 2 teaspoon of finely chopped mango and mix it well for few minutes and turn off the flame.
  4. After it cool down then transfer it to a bowl and garnish with grated coconut and then garnish with few finely chopped coriander leaves.
