How to make Dal Fry?

Hello Friends welcome to SAS BLOGGER, Today we are going to see how to make Dal Fry.

INGREDIENTS:

Toor Dal – 1/4 Cup

Moong Dal – 1/4 Cup

Masoor Dal – 1/2 Cup

Water

Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp.

Ghee – 2 Tsp.

Oil – 1 Tsp.

Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp.

Red Chilli – 2 No’s

Asafoetida Powder – 1/2 Tsp.

Curry Leaves

Onion – 1 No. Chopped

Green Chilli – 2 No’s

Chopped Garlic – 1 Tsp.

Finely Chopped Ginger – 1 Tsp.

Finely Chopped Tomato – 2 No’s

Chopped Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp.

Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 2 Tsp.

Salt – 2 Tsp.

Kasuri Methi

Water – 1 1/2 Cups

Garam Masala – 1/2 Tsp.

Coriander Leaves

Preparation Method

Step 1 (Dal Fry)

Today’s recipe is delicious veg gravy that is Dal Fry and so let’s gets started.

Dal fry is a very simple and easy dish to make; you can actually make it anytime during the day.

Step 2 (Dal Fry)

I am using three different dal’s starting with quarter cup of Toor Dal and add quarter cup of moong dal and add 1/2 cup masoor dal. Wash it a few times and move the dal to the pressure cooker and pour enough water.

And had quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder and pressure cook for about three to four whistles keep the flame on medium.

Step 3 

Take a kadai add 2 teaspoon of ghee and heat it and add 1 teaspoon oil and add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds. And add 2 red chillies and add 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida Powder and add a few curry leaves and add one large onion chopped.

And add 2 green chillies chopped and add one teaspoon of finely chopped garlic and add 1 teaspoon of finely chopped ginger. Saute the onions till they are nice and brown and add two tomatoes finely chopped, Saute the tomatoes till they get mushy.

Step 4 (Dal Fry)

The tomatoes are nice and mushy add quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder and add 2 teaspoons of Kashmiri chilli powder. And add 2 teaspoon of salt and add a few crushed kasuri methi leaves, just mix everything together.

And add the cooked and mashed dal and mix the dal well and add one and a half cups of water, cook the dal for about 15 minutes on medium flame. The dal has been cooking for about 15 minutes.

Step 5 

Finally add 1/2 TSP of garam masala powder and add some freshly chopped coriander leaves give it a good mix and serve the dal hot. Here is this delicious dal fry ready to eat.
