  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Step 1 (Aloo Matar Sabzi)

  • Take a pan and add oil and heat by keeping the flame on medium, and then add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds Add chopped onions and green chillies. Sauté until the onions become golden brown.
  • And add 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste and saute for few minutes and then add 2 chopped tomatoes and add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  • And then add ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder and add 1 teaspoon of coriander powder and check for seasoning by adding salt.
  • Add cubed potatoes and peas. Mix well to coat the vegetables with the masala. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low to medium heat until the potatoes and peas are cooked through.
  • Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once the vegetables are cooked, add garam masala and mix well. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, paratha, or rice.
