  • Take a bowl and add 1 cup of chickpea flour (gram flour) and then add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder and add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and then add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and add Salt to taste.
  • Gradually add water to the dry ingredients while stirring to form a smooth batter. Make the batter thick for coating.
  • Add the thinly sliced onions to the batter and mix well until the onions are evenly coated.
  • Take a Pan and add oil and heat it by keeping the flame on low and drop spoon full of the onion batter into the hot oil.

  • You can shape them into round fritters using the back of the spoon.
    Fry the bhajis until they turn golden brown and crispy, flipping them occasionally to ensure even cooking. This usually takes about 4-5 minutes.
  • Then turn of the stove and move the fried bhajis to a kitchen towel or tissue to remove the excess oil.
