How to make Black Chana Sundal?

 

Hello Friends welcome to SAS FOOD BLOGS, Today we are going to see how to make Black Chana Sundal.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Black Chana – 1 Cup
  • Water – 2 Cup
  • Oil – 2 Teaspoon
  • Mustard Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Chana Dal – 1 Teaspoon
  • Urad Dal – 1 Teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves – Few
  • Green Chilli – 1 No (Finely Chopped)
  • Asafoetida – ¼ Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli – 2 No’s
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon 
  • Salt – As per your taste
  • Mango – 2 Teaspoon (Finely Chopped)
  • Coriander Leaves – Few (Finely Chopped)
  • Grated Coconut – 2 Table Spoon

Preparation Method

Today’s recipe is a Black Chana Sundal, so let’s get started.

Step 1 

  1. Soak 1 Cup of Black Chana in water previous night itself for about 8 hours.
  2. Take a Pressure cooker and add soaked Black chana and pressure cook it for 3 whistles and after it cool down move the chana to a bowl and keep it a side.
  3. Take a kadai and add 2 teaspoon of oil and heat it then add ½ teaspoon mustard seeds and add ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds.
  4. Then add 1 teaspoon of Chana Dal and add 1 teaspoon of urad dal.
  5. And then add ¼ teaspoon of asafoetida and add few curry leaves and then add 2 red chillis and add 1 teaspoon of finely chopped green chilli and mix it well.

Step 2 (Black Chana Sundal)

  1. Then add 1 cup of pressure cooked Black chana and mix it well.
  2. Then add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and check for seasoning by adding salt as per your taste.
  3. And mix it well for few minutes and turn off the flame.
  4. After it cool down then transfer it to a bowl and garnish with grated coconut and garnish with finely chopped mango and then garnish with few finely chopped coriander leaves.
