INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams paneer, cut into cubes or slices
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – As per your need
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Chopped coriander leaves (optional, for garnish)

  • In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to form a thick batter. Take a pan and add oil and heat it by keeping the flame on medium and deep fry it.
  • Dip each paneer piece into the batter, making sure it is well-coated. Carefully drop the coated paneer pieces into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy. Ensure that the paneer is cooked evenly.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried paneer pakoras and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves if desired. Serve paneer pakoras hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or ketchup.
