INGREDIENTS – Masala
- Oil – As per your need
- Cumin – 1 TSP
- Pepper – ½ TSP
- Ginger – 1 Inch
- Garlic – 5 Cloves
- Green Chilli – 2 No’s
- Onion – 2 No’s (Sliced)
- Tomato – 2 No’s (Sliced)
- Salt – As per your taste
- Turmeric Powder – ½ TSP
- Red Chilli Powder – ½ TSP
- Coriander Powder – ½ TSP
- Asafoetida Powder – ½ TSP
INGREDIENTS – Chana Masala
- White Chana – 1/4 KG
- Butter – 2 Cubes
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 TSP
- Spices (Bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms)
- Add Prepared Masala
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 TSP
- Coriander Powder – 1/2 TSP
- Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 TSP
- Asafoetida Powder – 1/2 TSP
- Pepper – 1/2 TSP
- Add Cooked White Chana
- Chana Masala Powder – 1/2 TSP
Step by Step Photos
Preparation Method:
- Take White Chana 1/4 KG and soak it in water over night.
- Move the chana to the pressure cooker & pressure cook it for 2 whistles and keep it a side.
- Take a kadai and add Oil – As per your need.
- Then add Cumin – 1 TSP & add Pepper – ½ TSP.
- Then add Ginger – 1 Inch & add Garlic – 5 Cloves & mix it.
- And add oil & Green Chilli – 2 No’s.
- Then add Onion – 2 No’s (Sliced) & add Tomato – 2 No’s (Sliced) and mix it well.
- Then add Cashewnuts half cup and mix it well.
- Then add Salt – As per your taste & add Turmeric Powder – ½ TSP.
- Then add Red Chilli Powder – ½ TSP & and Coriander Powder – ½ TSP.
- Then add Asafoetida Powder – ½ TSP and mix it well.
- After the mixture cool down blend it to make masala paste.
- To a kadai and add Butter 2 Cubes & add Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 TSP.
- Add Spices (Bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms) & mix it.
- And add Prepared Masala and mix it well.
- And add Turmeric Powder 1/2 TSP & add Coriander Powder 1/2 TSP & add Red Chilli Powder 1/2 TSP & add Asafoetida Powder 1/2 TSP & add Pepper 1/2 TSP and mix it well.
- Add Cooked Chana & add Chana Masala Powder 1/2 TSP & mix it.
- Chana Masala is ready to serve.
